Sooo…I’ve been on a wallpaper kick lately. The pastels, the golds, the floral themes, all of it. I am in the process of updating two rooms in my home. One room – the sunroom, I want to add a floral theme. The other room – the laundry room, I want to add gold petals or some type of gold design. I’m obsessed at this point. I’m going to start chronicalling this journey on my YouTube page, if you would like to follow along, check back periodically with the page. What are your thoughts on wallpaper? Do you have wallpaper in your home? Any regrets?
I’m in love with this wallpaper from Hygge & West. Simple and chic but not overwhelming. This pattern can be married into any sitting room, powder room, or guest room, as an accent wall or wall to wall decor.

I am also crushing on the geometric patterned wallpaper. The styles and patterns are quite extensive and easier to apply than in years past. No more paste and paint brushes. Most (90%) of wallpaper comes with self-adhesive, takes less time to apply, and remove. The geometric shape is play on the eye and gives the wall life. I have several choices in mind for my laundry room.

Whatever you do, make sure you are properly measuring your space to ensure the width and length of the paper fits appropriately. It is the worst feeling to get started on a job and run out before the wall is complete. Always have an extra roll in case at the beginning of the job, if you start out and mess up, you have more to work with.
Wallpaper can go from reasonable to expensive depending on the style and features of the roll, a really good investment. It is dependable and like mentioned before, easier to remove with little to no help. Unlike other wall accents that include some reno work (i.e., board and batten, decorative molding). It is as easy as removing the paper and wiping down any residual from the adhesive.
Ciao!
